Mackay & Schnellmann Pty Limited has carried
out a very large number of assignments on precious metals. Many
of these have been on gold but some have been on other precious
metals such as silver and platinum.
Examples of recent assignments on precious metals
are:
WESTERN AUSTRALIA & SOUTH AUSTRALIA, 2001
An Independent Geologist's Report has been prepared on the mineral
properties of a subsidiary of a Western Australian gold producer
for inclusion in a prospectus. In Western Australia, the gold properties
are located at Claypan Dam and Kintore in the Eastern Goldfields
and at Klondyke in the Pilbara with a South Australian property
also having gold potential. All of the properties are at an advanced
exploration stage with in some cases quantified resources that were
the subject of due diligence validation. Other properties of the
company are prospective for base metals, nickel and diamond.
WESTERN AUSTRALIA, 1998
A silver-zinc property at Tarrawarra north of Carnarvon in Western
Australia was one of the principal projects of a Western Australian
mineral exploration company. An Independent Geologist's Report was
prepared on this and other properties for inclusion in a proposed
floatation although this did not proceed due to a change in the
market for securities.
PAPUA NEW GUINEA, 1998
On behalf of a Western Australian company, an Independent Geologist's
Report and Valuation were prepared on four large tenements in the
Wafi area. The Report and Valuation were for inclusion in a prospectus.
The area had been extensively explored by CRA over several years
and the existing database was very substantial. Potential of the
area was for large scale low grade gold mineralisation. In the event
the intended floatation did not proceed for financial reasons unconnected
with the proposed public offering.
GHANA, 1997
An Independent Geologist's Report and Valuation were completed on
behalf of a Western Australian company for incorporation in a proposed
prospectus on a large number of gold and diamond properties in Ghana.
Geologically, the deposits occur in Archaean and Proterozoic terrain.
WESTERN AUSTRALIA, 1997
On behalf of a gold producer, data were compiled on all known gold
deposits within an 8000 km2 area
near Leonora in the Eastern Goldfields. Aspects covered included
such matters as location, tenement numbers, ownership, resources,
reserves and exploration potential.
