Examples of recent assignments involving mining
engineering and metallurgical associates are:
PAPUA NEW GUINEA, 1998
A report was prepared on behalf of a Canadian company for the issuing
of a prospectus on the Vancouver Stock Exchange. The report covered
the geological, mining engineering and metallurgical aspects of
the Wafi Gold Project in Papua New Guinea. The mining engineering
and metallurgical consultancy services were provided by Perth based
associates. In the event, the floatation did not proceed due to
changed market conditions.
WESTERN AUSTRALIA, 1996
An evaluation was carried out of the resources, reserves and exploration
potential of the Bounty Mine deposits and the surrounding area at
Mt Holland. The assignment was carried out on behalf of the bank
then financing the operation and in conjunction with a Perth based
consultancy practice that covered such other aspects as mining engineering
and metallurgy.
WESTERN AUSTRALIA, 1996
An assessment of the geological aspects of a nickel laterite deposit
in the Eastern Goldfields was carried out on behalf of the company
that was providing the process technology and that would have a
financial interest in the eventual operation. Other aspects of the
proposed mining operation were covered by other members of a multidisciplinary
team. The geological review covered such matters as the interpretation
of the formation of the deposit, the quantity and quality of the
database, the procedures adopted for the resource and reserve estimates,
the global resource estimate, the proposed operational grade control
practices and so forth. The non geological aspects included mine
planning, proposed process technology and infrastructure.
